Stuart has been married for 33 years and has one daughter who is a nurse and paramedic. He enjoys reading and cooking. He loves the outdoors and spends time hiking, hunting, and photographing wildlife, sunsets, and sunrises. Stuart is also proud of being an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow.

Stuart L. Stroud is a native of Kinston and has practiced law in Kinston and across Eastern North Carolina for over 30 years. He has experience in civil litigation and has tried jury trials in Lenoir County and many other counties. He is also a Certified Superior Court mediator. After years of litigation, Stuart is often selected by litigators to help their clients resolve their disputes at mediation.
In representing clients, Stuart prioritizes hard work and preparation. He believes it is important to advise clients of both the good and bad aspects of their cases and help them make sound decisions. His goal is to counsel clients and achieve the most cost-effective and advantageous resolution of their dispute.
