John Agner

John Agner was born in China Grove, NC in 1966, He has lived in China Grove, Salisbury, Lincolnton, Hickory, Carrboro, Chapel Hill, Durham, Winterville, Greenville, and has been a resident of Goldsboro since 1996. 

He opened his own law practice in 1998 here in Goldsboro concentrating on traffic matters and other misdemeanors in District Court. He is pleased to now be a part of Strickland Agner Pittman. He made this move so that he could have the support and friendship of other attorneys and concentrate on practicing law, and not on managing an office. He handles cases in Wayne and Duplin Counties and has built his practice on strong repeat business and client referrals. After graduating from undergrad at Lenoir-Rhyne College he went to work for RPS (Roadway Packaging Systems) managing a shipping terminal, then went on to work for Carolina Freight doing pretty much the same thing. He was accepted into Law school just 3 months before Carolina Freight went bankrupt and closed its doors for good. While he gained lots of experience from his time in the transportation industry he has never looked back and certainly does not miss it. Practicing law has been the most rewarding field he could have imagined and he is very grateful to have started his life over so to speak 8 years after college.

John is married to Dr. Solange Le of MedStat Centre here in Goldsboro and has two beautiful daughters Morgan and Madeline Agner. He enjoys the outdoors and spends many hours hunting and fishing, as well as hiking and camping. He enjoys the law because of the people he gets to meet and the stories they have to tell. He prides himself on giving his clients his very best, and helping them out of their troubles is extremely rewarding to him. Solving their often complex legal problems is very enjoyable to him and the reward of seeing their situations resolved in a positive way makes for a fulfilling career.
